Before your treatment…

As a first step of treatment,
we provide instruction on oral care which prevents relapse of the symptoms

Before your treatment… (plaque control is a treatment as well)
Generally speaking, the major causes of tooth loss are periodontal disease (Riggs’ disease) and dental caries (cavities), and what causes these dental diseases is the bacterial plaque (food debris). Therefore, it is crucial that we get rid of plaque.
Whether you like it or not, you will be making some level of sacrifices—namely physical and mental pain, time and money—to bring back your health teeth. In order not to squander on the price you pay and get a relapse, you must make an effort to maintain your teeth nice and clean. For that reason, we provide patients with Professional Mechanical Teeth Cleaning service (PMTC), including removal of plaque, and instruction on proper toothbrushing optimized for each patient (plaque control brushing) as a first step of our treatment to prevent recurrence of the symptoms and in the hope that everybody will be able to take care of their own teeth.
While there are individual variations, we also offer periodical checkup (recall) to better assist our patients in maintaining a healthy oral environment.
